Good Evening

For any of you who grew up in the 60's here in Memphis this will bring back memories.

Watson Davis hosted the "Fantastic Features" during the sixties and early seventies. His character Sivad (that's Davis spelled backwards) a ghoulish vampire like creature would introduce us to B-movies such as Queen of Outer Space, The Cyclops, and who could forget Attack of the Crab Monsters. Each week, and eventually twice a week, kids all over Memphis would hide under their blankets as the horse drawn hearse would slowly cross our black and white television screens.

Mr. Davis died back in March 2005, but he lived well into his 90's and by all reports spent his remaining years happily fishing at a nearby lake.

Well, play the video and drift back to you sitting on your living room floor under your blanket and enjoy.

We used to call a friend of ours back in elementary school Sivad because he had this two long Canines. It must have been 30+ years since the last time I saw that into. Time really flies.

Man i forgot about Sivad. Me and my brother would watch him at night. Can't remember the shows but when he came on the hairs on the back of my neck would stand up. The part where he look back at the camera would scare me the most.

I have an original signed ticket when he performed at the fair. This man loved children. He will be missed.

Great special effects for the 1960's.
