Memphis City Councilman Myron Lowery and several nationally known blues entertainers including Willie Clayton, Bobby Rush, Sheba Potts Wright, Billy “Soul” Bond, Falisa Janaye, Preston Shannon, Toni Green and Sweet Angel will hold a 1:30 p.m. press conference to announce a fund raising effort for those stricken by the recent earthquake in Haiti.
The press conference will be held in the lobby level of City Hall, 125 N. Main Street, in the Hall of Mayors. This event is being co-sponsored by the Afro Police Association and will occur at the Whitehaven Celebration Complex, 3270 Elvis Presley Boulevard at 6pm on Thursday, January 28th.
