Senior Wants Junior to be Next Mayor

Edmund Ford, Sr. told me that he would not seek the office of Mayor of Memphis but felt it was time for the next generation to take over. With that he stated he was considering running his son Councilman Edmund Ford, Jr. for mayor. I spoke with Councilman Ford, Jr. and he seemed surprised but felt that his recent appearance on a local talk radio show went well. He thought he had answered the questions and that the response from the listeners were positive so he was open to the idea.

Ford, Sr. said he would need to pray on if he would run his son or not.

I hope Senior Edmund Ford Prayers are answer in this manner, my son is not ready yet. It appears that Senior is trying to relive his life through his son. This fact remains, neither Ford will be mayor.

These people come to the people saying they want to serve but as soon as they get in office they are ready to run for another position. Junior hasn't finished his first term and he wants to be mayor! What an ego.

10:02pm..."These people"? I won't even comment on how that already sounds. If you listened to Thaddeus' show, Sr. wants his son to run; Jr. did not say that he was running. He might not even run as he told callers on the show. I guess "you people" believe what you hear and not what you know. Who has the real ego?

Reginald you are being nice to this Gill guy, he doesn't deserve it. You will make a good commissioner; you always try to find the very best in everyone you meet. You had to look long and hard to find something nice to say about Gill. You got my vote!!!
