Lee Harris called me today to say he was ending his bid for SCDP Chair. Lee wanted to let everyone know of his decision and felt my blog was one way of doing that. Here is the email he asked me to post.Reginald, Good talking to you today. As I mentioned by phone, I’m withdrawing from the SCDP Chair’s race. I think the race for chair should be a two-person affair and I don’t want to get in the way. Both Jay and Van are talented individuals and my hope is that whoever wins there will be new blood and positive change for the party. However, in a two-person race, my personal belief is that the best person for that job is Van Turner. I have known Van for several years and believe he will do great things and be able to effectively energize the party.

They should have a debate between the two.
Why waste their time? Those who know both candidates know why Van is the best candidate.
Hmm.. I don't know I think a debate would be a great idea. This of course assumes that there will be enough swing votes left after the Caucus Saturday. Depending on who does a better job turning out their supporters, this might be more or less over in a few days.
Yea Eric like Brad said its going to be decided soon and it looks like Van has it.

Lee is a good man. He did the right thing. Van will make a perfect chair for all of us. It's time to rally around Van and "GET THIS PARTY GOING!"
